Linda S. Williamson, 55, of West Finley, died Wednesday, March 20, 2002, in Washington Hospital. She had been in declining health for the past five months.
She was born November 21, 1946, in Connellsville, a daughter of Elsie Blanche Firestone of Connellsville and the late A.J. Firestone.
Mrs. Williamson was a graduate of Connellsville High School and Washington Hospital School of Nursing.
She received a bachelor of arts degree in education from California University of Pennsylvania and attended Washington & Jefferson College.
Mrs. Williamson was a member of National League of Nurses, and worked 30 years at Washington Hospital, first as a charge nurse and later as an operating room nurse.
She enjoyed the New York Times crossword puzzles and was actively involved with her grandchildren.
Mrs. Williamson attended Washington Alliance Church.
On October 27, 1969, she married Leonard L. Williamson, who survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Leonard L. Williamson III of Pensacola, Fla., and Jeffrey T. Williamson of Brunswick, Maine; a brother, Alan J. "A.J." Firestone of Mercerville; a sister, Sandy Firestone of Connellsville; and three grandchildren, Alexa, Ian and Ariel Williamson.
