Vaughn E. McCue, 80, of Washington, died January 16, 2008, in The Washington Hospital following a brief illness.
He was born June 26, 1927, in Grafton, West Virginia, a son of Roy and Goldie Lambert McCue.
Mr. McCue graduated from Washington High School in 1945. In 1992, after 39 years of service, he retired from Universal Cyclops, Lawrenceville.
Mr. McCue was an avid deer hunter and fisherman. He enjoyed watching football, NASCAR, and the Animal Planet.
His three sons and grandchildren were the absolute joy of his life.
His wife, Patricia Hoffman McCue, died February 29, 2004.
Surviving are three sons, Mark S. McCue and Kevin J. McCue, both of Washington, and Mike McCue of Morrison, Colorado; one sister, Jean Whitaker of Washington; seven grandchildren, Sybil McCue of Mt. Lebanon, Kennith Korody of Washington, Eric Korody of Manitou Springs, Colorado, Kameron McCue, Ian McCue, Chad McCue and Cory McCue, all of Washington; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Deceased are a sister, Rhea Francis McCue; and two brothers, Richard McCue and Roy William “Billy” McCue.
A memorial service will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to American Heart Association, American Diabetes Association, Citizen’s Library, World Wildlife Fund, or to a charity of the donor’s choice. William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., Washington, is in charge of arrangements.
