Nurse was member of Trinity Episcopal Church, Washington. Louise Ellen Brown Priest, 83, of Washington, died at 11 :30 a.m. Tuesday, June 28, 2005, in Humbert Lane, Washington, following a lengthy illness. She was born February 18, 1922, in Erie, a daughter of Charles and Adah Clark Brown. Mrs. Priest was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church, Current Events Club and Harvard Nurse's Health Study. She received her nursing degree at Sisters of Charity in Cleveland, Ohio, in 1945 and graduated with a bachelor of science degree from Lycoming College in Williamsport in 1961. She was a registered nurse and had been employed by Williamsport Hospital and Divine Providence Hospital. On August 24, 1946, she married Loring Benson Priest, who died November 8, 1983. Surviving are a son, Robert L. Priest of Harrisburg; two daughters, Barbara L. Priest of Brooklyn, N.Y., and Susan E. Priest of Washington; and several nieces and nephews. Deceased are four brothers, John Lawrence, Harvey, Norman and Woodford Brown. Friends and family will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday in Trinity Episcopal Church, 550 South Main Street, Washington, where services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, July 1, with the Rev. Karen Stevenson officiating. The family suggests memorial contributions go to Loring Priest Memorial Fund, Lycoming College, 700 College Place, Williamsport, PA 17701, Three Rivers Family Hospice, 3001 Jacks Run Road, White Oak, PA 15131 and Citizens Library, 55 South College St., Washington, PA 15301. Arrangements are under the direction of William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington.
