Marion A. Carlisle

Marion A. Carlisle, 92, of Washington, formerly Claysville, died Saturday, December 15, 2007, in Southminster of Presbyterian Senior Care. She had been in declining health. She was born October 30, 1915, in Claysville, a daughter of Charles O. and Charolotte Miller Allender. She was a graduate of Claysville High School and was a homemaker. Mrs. Carlisle was a member of Immaculate Conception Church. On June 20, 1941, she married John J. Carlisle, who died March 6, 2004. Surviving are two sons, J. Michael Carlisle of Alburtis and R. Joseph Carlisle of Washington; one daughter, Judith C. Walz of Washington; seven grandchildren, Jennifer Michel, Amy Alioto, Melissa Borneman, Megan MacGeorge, Joe Carlisle, Andrew Walz and Samuel Walz; and nine great grandchildren. Deceased are a brother, Robert S. Allender; and two grandchildren, Sarah Walz and Emily Carlisle. Friends will be received 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd. 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where a blessing service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 19, 2007, with Father Nicholas Spirko officiating. Burial will follow in Washington Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to McGuire House, 219 Mercer Rd., New Brighton PA 15066.
