Thomas Paul Barton

Thomas Paul Barton, 71, of Washington, died Sunday, June 3, 2007, in the Canonsburg Hospital Emergency Room after having been in declining health. He was born in Hendersonville on January 3, 1936, a son of William and Elizabeth West Barton. Mr. Barton worked in the construction industry and had worked fifteen years for Wasler Construction of Washington. Additionally, he was a Veteran of the United States Army and had served in Korea. He was a proud Foster Parent. He enjoyed playing cards, fishing and traveling, and was a member of the Houston American Legion. His wife of forty-one years, Viola Rush, survives. Also surviving are three sons, Tom ( JoAnn ) Barton, Jr., of McKees Rocks, Terry ( Betty ) Barton and Charles Morris, both of Washington; seven daughters, Peggy ( Floyd ) Ealy of Graysville, Barbara ( Joe ) Bedillion of Salem, New Jersey, Beth ( Leo ) Wright, Priscilla Morris, Tabatha Barton, Leah Barton, and Heavenlea Barton, all of Washington; a sister Mary Lou ( James ) Tennant of Washington; ten grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death are two sons, Robert and Danny Morris; two brothers, Frank and James � Sonny � Barton; and three sisters, Gertrude Lucy, Jeannette Gallo, and Joyce Barton. Friends of Thomas Paul Barton, 71, of Washington, who died Sunday, June 3, 2007, will be received on Tuesday, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM, the time of services, in the William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington. Burial will follow at a future date in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies.
