Margery L. Nash, 81, of Lakeland, Michigan, died Saturday, June 2, 2007, in the Washington Hospital following a short illness.
Mrs. Nash was born in Flint, Michigan, on May 27, 1926, a daughter of Ray A. and Malene N. Atherholt Wiley.
She was retired, having worked more than 15 years as a school secretary in Farmington Hills, Michigan.
Mrs. Nash enjoyed golf, playing bridge, reading mystery novels, and was a member of the D.A.R.
In the winter months, she and her husband lived on Hilton Head Island, South Carolina, where she was a member of the First Presbyterian Church.
On November 9, 1945, she married Edward L. Nash who survives. Also surviving are a son, Stephen E. Nash of Carlsbad, California; three daughters, Sally C. Steiner of Okemos, Michigan, Elizabeth J. Hodges of Spotsylvania, Virginia, and Joyce ( Aaron ) Stimmell, of Washington, whom she was visiting when she fell ill; a sister Janet Taylor of Flint, Michigan; five grandchildren, Michael Nash, Robert Kobman, Jason Avant, Andrea Grady, and Michele Avant; as well as three great-grandchildren.
No public visitation will be held locally. A memorial service will be held in Lakeland, Michigan and burial will follow in Hilton Head Island, South Carolina, at a time and date to be announced.
