Edith J. Gilmore, 86, of Washington, died Wednesday, April 25, 2007, in Washington Hospital, following a brief illness. She was born June 2, 1920, in Washington, a daughter of Taylor and Josephine Rogers Jones. Mrs. Gilmore graduated from Bethany High School and Penn Commercial College. She was employed at Brockway Glass, Plant #11, in Quality Control, for thirty years. After her retirement, she was employed at Claysville Senior Citizens. Mrs. Gilmore was a member of West Alexander Presbyterian Church. Her husband, Clyde Austin Gilmore, died in 1978. Surviving are a son, Larry Edward Gilmore, of Cleveland, OH., a daughter, Karen J. (Larry) Johnson, of Washington; six grandchildren, John E. Gilmore, Brant E. Gilmore, Belynda E. (Jason) Laing, Jason W. Johnson, James R. (Tara) Johnson, Jaime Lynn (Adam) Giles; five great grandchildren, Jacob, Josie, Riley, Jonah, and Tyler. Deceased is a brother, William Jones. In the furtherance of scientific medicine and medical research, she willed her body to the Humanity Gifts Registry. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, April 28, in West Alexander Presbyterian Church, with Rev. Kenneth Nolin officiating. The family suggests memorial contribtutions to West Alexander Presbyterian Church, Main Street, West Alexander, PA 15376. Arrangements by William G.
