Barber for 70 years born in Italy
Anthony (Tony) Dagostino, 95, of Washington, died at 6:55 p.m. Sunday, April 11, 2004, in Kade Nursing Home, Washington. He had been ill since January 22, 2003.
He was born September 3, 1908, in Salverno Castel, San Lorenzo, Italy, a son of Louigi and Elena Salerno Dagostino.
Mr. Dagostino attended Christian Church of North America.
He was a barber for more than 70 years and enjoyed gardening.
Mr. Dagostino was married twice. On July 11, 1929, he married Teresa Arena, who died May 10, 1957. In 1965, he married Helen Capo Mancuso, who died December 14, 1978.
Surviving are two sons, Louis Dagostino Sr. and Joseph Dagostino Sr., both of Washington; a sister, Mary Agoglia of Washington; and three grandchildren, Dana Dagostino, Louis Dagostino Jr. and Joseph Dagostino Jr.
A brother, Ross Dagostino, is deceased.
DAGOSTINO - Friends of Anthony (Tony) Dagostino of Washington, who died Sunday, April 11, 2004, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and 11 a.m. until 1 p.m., the hour of services, Wednesday, April 14, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 395 East Maiden Street, Washington, with the Rev. John DePolo and the Rev. Floyd Marasco officiating. Interment will follow in Washington Cemetery.
