Michael Dudley Cox, 40, of Washington, died Monday, April 23, 2007, in Uniontown Hospital, as a result of injuries received in a fall at work.
He was born August 2, 1966, in Euclid, Ohio, a son of James Jackson Cox of Washington and the late Marlene Neff Cox.
Mr. Cox graduated from Trinity High School in 1984 and received a Bachelor of Science degree from California University of Pennsylvania.
He was employed by Minnottee Contracting of Pittsburgh, since August 2006, and belonged to Boilermakers Union 154.
Prior to working as a union boilermaker, he was employed at Washington Hospital for 19 years, most recently as a PC analyst.
His interests were golf, softball and basketball. He was a youth boy's baseball coach and helped coach youth football.
Mr. Cox was Methodist.
On August 20, 1994, he married Teresa (Terry) Harris, who survives.
Also surviving, in addition to his wife, are a son, Brett Cox; a daughter, Madison Cox; two brothers, James J. Cox of Bethel Park and Ricky A. Cox of Amity; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday in William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, April 27, with the Rev. Sue Kidder Petritis and Pastor Gary Gibson co-officiating. Interment will follow in Washington Cemetery. Boilermakers Union 154 will hold a service at 8 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home.
