Shirley J. Musgrave, 72, of Washington, died unexpectedly Saturday, April 19, 2008, in The Washington Hospital.
She was born February 29, 1936, in Waynesburg, a daughter of Clarence and Edna Orndoff Jeffries.
For 16 years, Mrs. Musgrave worked as an administrative secretary for the Washington School District. She then worked for the Federal Bureau of Commerce for 13 years, retiring in 2006.
Mrs. Musgrave enjoyed her cats and spending time with her grandchildren.
She was a member of Jefferson Avenue United Methodist Church.
Her husband, Kesle David Musgrave, died in 1989.
Surviving are a son, Gregory L. (Alison) Musgrave of Washington; a daughter, Ginger L. (Gary) Sprowls of Amity; one brother, Robert (Jo) Jeffries of Washington; two sisters, Sonja Reid of Nebraska, and Ericka Eckert of Washington; and eight grandchildren, Carrie Musgrave, J.D. Musgrave, Jay Sprowls, Bethany Musgrave, Devon Hoskins, Jennifer Fisher, Katlyn Musgrave and Josh Musgrave.
Deceased is a son, Jeffrey L. Musgrave.
Friends will be received 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 23rd, with Robert Davidson officiating. Burial will follow in Washington Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the family in care of the funeral home.
