Viola Longfellow Zink

Employed by Continental Can and Hazel-Atlas Glass Viola Longfellow Zink, 93, of Wheeling, W.Va., died at 9:28 p.m. Wednesday, November 13, 2002, in Crestview Health Care Center, St. Clairsville, Ohio, following a lengthy illness. She was born January 17, 1909, in Lowell, Ohio, a daughter Samuel and Bertha Baker Longfellow. Mrs. Zink was Lutheran. She had been employed by Continental Can and Hazel-Atlas Glass of Wheeling, and was a member of the Glass Blowers and Bottlers Association. She enjoyed fishing and camping. Her husband, Everett Parsons, is deceased. She made her home with her companion of 56 years, Thomas M. Williams Sr. of Wheeling. Surviving are two daughters, Evelyn V. Zink Cothran of Wheeling and Marilyn Thomas of Washington; six grandchildren, Dale Cothran, Marilyn Bristol, John Cothran, Karen Thomas Creek, Diane Thomas DeVault and Bonnie Thomas Holmes; five great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren. Deceased are two sisters, Stella Davidson and Esther Blazier. ZINK - Friends of Viola Longfellow Zink of Wheeling, W.Va., who died Wednesday, November 13, 2002, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. Friday in William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, November 16, with Pastor Gary Gibson officiating. Interment will be in Washington Cemetery.
