1950 Trinity graduate was building contractor
Arthur L. Seaman, 70, of Washington, died at 8:45 a.m. Tuesday, October 29, 2002, in Washington Hospital. He had been in failing health for the past five years.
He was born October 7, 1932, in Washington, a son of Harry Nelson and Freda Mae Odbert Seaman.
Mr. Seaman was a 1950 graduate of Trinity High School.
He was Presbyterian and was a self-employed building contractor.
Mr. Seaman was a member of McKeever Study in West Middletown.
Surviving are five sons, Jeffrey Seaman of Dixie, W.Va., Douglas, Charles and James Seaman of Washington and Robin Seaman of Nashville, Tenn.; a daughter, Christine Seaman Hickle of Uniontown; a sister, Patricia Clutter of Texas; 14 grandchildren; and his former wife, Martha McDaid Seaman of Washington.
Deceased are a son, Kenneth Seaman; a daughter, Cheryl Ann Morris; and two brothers, John A. and Harry N. Seaman Jr.
SEAMAN - Friends of Arthur L. Seaman of Washington, who died Tuesday, October 29, 2002, will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday in William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, November 2, with the Rev. John Mark Scott officiating. Interment will follow in Claysville Cemetery.
