Frank L. "Buck" Jones, 77, of Washington, died at 6:30 p.m., Wednesday, December 29, 2004, in Manor Care Nursing Home, Peters Township. He was born November 11, 1927, in West Newton, a son of Frank and Mary Agnes Raipe Jones. Mr. Jones was a member of Immaculate Conception Church. He was in the U.S. Army, having served in Germany during the Korean War. He was employed by Jessop Steel, as a laborer/steelworker, for thirty-three years. He was a member of L.O.O.M.#22, BPOE #76, and Edwin Scott Linton, Post 175, American Legion. Mr. Jones enjoyed reading, going to McDonalds and spending time with his friends and grandchildren. On November 12, 1945, he married Louise Barbara Aloia, who died October 30, 1979. Surviving are three sons, Robert A. Jones and Kevin A. Jones, both of Washington, and Frank J. Jones, of Pittsburgh; a sister, Marcella Cooper, of Washington; two granddaughters, Melissa Couts and Nicole Jones; and three great granddaughters, Jillian, Madison, and Emma.
Deceased is a brother, Robert Jones.
Friends of Frank L. "Buck" Jones, of Washington, who died Wednesday, December 29, 2004, will be received 2 to 9 p.m. Sunday, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Monday, January 3, 2005, in Immaculate Conception Church, 119 W. Chestnut Street, Washington, with Father Nicholas Spirko, as celebrant. Burial will follow in Immaculate Conception Church Cemetery. Military rites will be accorded graveside by Edwin Scott Linton, Post 175, American Legion. The family suggests contributions to the American Cancer Association.
