Gloria Jean Hopkins

Gloria J. Hopkins, 72, of Claysville, died at 4:35 a.m., Thursday, March 8, 2007, in her home, following a one-year illness. She was born September 25, 1934, in Washington, a daughter of Paul and Blanche Fisher Revella. Mrs. Hopkins attended Washington High School and was a member of Immaculate Conception Church, Washington. Mrs. Hopkins was owner of Gloria’s Tailoring and Alterations. She had also been employed at Bell Sportswear, Carnegie Park, Victor Cohen and J.C. Penney. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting and animals, especially horses, dogs, and cats. On January 4, 1969, she married Donald C. Hopkins, who survives. Also surviving are a son, Walter B. Hopkins, at home; and two sisters, Delores (James) Stiltenpole, of Melbourne, FL., and Charlene (Richard) Faya, of Frederick, MD. Deceased is a brother, John Allen Revella. Friends will be received 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., Sunday, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where a Blessing Service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, March 12, 2007, with Father Nicholas Spirko officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Gardens Cemetery, McMurray. The family suggests memorial contributions to Albert Gallatin Hospice, 276 Meadowlands Boulevard, Washington, or American Cancer Society, 357 East Maiden Street, Washington, PA 15301.
