Hannah A. Hines, 91, of Washington, died Saturday, August 21, 2004, in the Donnell House following a short illness. She was born in Pittsburgh on January 1, 1913, a daughter of Peter and Elizabeth Aernz Becker. She was a graduate of Holy Name High School and was a professional dancer having once toured Europe in the 1940’s. Mrs. Hines was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and had been an active volunteer at the Washington Hospital.
On April 14, 1945, she married John A. Hines who died on January 1, 1970.
Surviving are a son, John David Hines and his wife Emily, of Waynesville, Georgia; two daughters, Beth Baxter and her husband Melvin of California, PA, and Penny Aloe and her husband Noel of Scenery Hill; six grandchildren, Erica, Nodie, and Jeremy Aloe, Leah Bierer, Rachael and Eric Baxter; and three great-grandchildren.
Preceding her in death are three brothers, Matthew, Bernard, and Rusty Becker; and seven sisters, Gertrude, Evelyn, Clara, Mary, Helen, Bertha, and Elsie.
