Virginia G. “ Gin “ Piszczek, 77, of Washington, died in her home on Tuesday, August 3, 2004 after having been in declining health for the past two years. She was born in Washington on November 4, 1926, a daughter of Anthony “ Tony “ and Saveria Fragale Gallo. Mrs. Piszczek was a 1944 graduate of Trinity High School and had worked more than twenty-one years at Hazel Atlas # 2. She was a member of the Fourth Presbyterian Church and it’s Ladies Aid Society, Victoria Lodge # 76, had once played in the Women’s Dart Ball League, and had Bowled for over twenty-five years in the Women’s League at the Alpine.
On April 23, 1957, she married Frank Michael Piszczek, who died on May 7, 1990.
Surviving are a daughter, Debra Jean Waters, wife of Ronny, of Burgettstown; three brothers, Sam and James Gallo, both of Washington, and William Gallo of Danville, Il; two grandchildren, Ronny Waters, Jr., and Romney Waters.
Preceding her in death are four brothers, John, Frank, Joseph, and Louis Gallo; five sisters, Mary McCloskey, Rose Clark, Margaret Barlow, Julia Gallo, and Gretta Ungvari.
Friends of Virginia G. “ Gin “ Piszczek, 77, of Washington, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm Thursday, in the William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, where services will be held on Friday, August 6, 2004, at 1:00 pm, Rev. Dr. Susan VanDeKappelle officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Gardens, McMurray.
