Washington homemaker enjoyed gardening Betty Jean Ferguson, 62, of Washington, died Saturday, August 3, 2002,in Washington Hospital, following a monthlong illness. She was born June 20, 1940, in Washington, a daughter of the late Joseph and Catherine Spitzner Baumgartner. Mrs. Ferguson attended Washington High School and was a homemaker who enjoyed gardening. On August 29,1959, she married Charles R. Ferguson, who survives. Also surviving are a son, Charles Ferguson Jr. of Washington; a daughter, Kristine Georgetti of Washington; a brother, Louis Baumgartner of Washington; a sister, Marie Palladino of Connecticut; and three grandchildren, Chance and Sierra Georgetti and Sarah Ferguson. Deceased are six brothers, Joe, John, Raymond, Irvin, James and Robert Baumgartner; and a sister, Catherine Dernosic. FERGUSON - Friends of Betty Jean Ferguson of Washington, who died Saturday, August 3, 2002, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday in William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, August 6, with Pastor Gary Gibson officiating. Interment will follow in Washington Cemetery.
