Lucy E. Montgomery

Attended Washington schools Lucy E. Montgomery, 64, of Washington, died Wednesday, June 26, 2002, in Washington County Health Center, Washington, following a three-year illness. She was born August 20, 1937, in Washington, a daughter of the late William Dewey and Hannah Rebecca Schrader Montgomery. She attended Washington schools and was Methodist. She had previously worked for DD Ranch, Herds Drug Store and was last employed as a private-duty home health care assistant. She enjoyed bingo, playing cards and baking. In 1958, she married Reed Oliver Zediker, who died April 2, 1984. Surviving are three sons, Robert Montgomery of East Finley, James Montgomery of Washington and John Montgomery of Claysville; four daughters, Mary Louise Hartzog, Reda and Rebecca Montgomery and Brenda Clutter, all of Washington; two brothers, James Loar of Columbus, Ohio, and Bailey Montgomery of East Finley; two sisters, Frances Bennatt of East Finley and Helen Ammons of Claysville; 16 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. Deceased are a son, Joseph Montgomery; and two sisters, Eva Jane Loar and Alice Marie Montgomery. MONTGOMERY - Friends of Lucy E. Montgomery of Washington, who died Wednesday, June 26, 2002, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday in William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, June 29, with the Rev. Rudy Plants officiating. Interment will be in Claysville Cemetery.
