Hultz Fife Berry, 80, of Washington, died
Wednesday, August 4, 2004, at Humbert Lane. He had been in ill for 4
years. He was born on January 7, 1924, in Washington, PA, a son of
William C. and Norma Hixon Berry. Mr. Berry painted houses and was a
private contractor.
Mr. Berry served in the U.S. Army-Air Force in WW II. He was a gunner and had flown 30 missions in the European Theater.
On October 16, 1971, he married Lois Miriam McKahan Sykes, who died in
1982. Surviving is a stepdaughter, Judith Panzarella of Georgia; 2
brothers, Ken Berry of Monongahela and Alex Berry of New Eagle; 2
sisters, Elizabeth Herceg of Canonsburg and Gladys Compton of Chester,
PA; and several step grandchildren; deceased are 2 brothers, Tom and
Bill Berry; and 4 sisters, Betty Fillbeck, Edith Smith, Agnes Nale and
Lois Spriggs.
Friends of Hultz Fife Berry of Washington who died Wednesday, August 4,
2004, will be received Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., in William G. Neal
Funeral Homes, Ltd., 395 East Maiden St, Washington, PA, where services
will be held on Saturday, August 7, 2004 at 1:00 p.m., with the Pastor
Gary Gibson officiating. Interment will follow at the Washington
Cemetery.
