George " Russ " Summers

Age 91, of Claysville, died Saturday, October 5, 2002 in Washington Hospital. He was born in Mt. Washington, August 8, 1911; son of George F. & Blanche Ruth Summers. He worked as an Electrical Gang Member for Duquesne Light for more than 30 years, was a member of Mt. Washington Methodist Church. He was a member of Lodge #269 F&AM, Monongahela. A 50 year member of Syria Shrine and a member of the Oriental Band. In 1932 he married Elizabeth Conner, who died in 1996; surviving are a son, William R. Summers of Claysville; two daughters Ruth Grayburn of VA & Sandra Fricker of Bridgeville; grandfather of Todd & Mark Summers, Amy Reese, Glenn C. Grayburn, Jr, Matthew, Lauren, & Kaitland Fricker; two great-grandchildren. Friends will be received on Monday, Oct 7, from 6-8 pm, time of service in WM. G. NEAL FUNERAL HOMES, LTD., 925 Allison Ave., Washington, PA at 8:00 pm. Rev. John Dykstra, officiating. Interment will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
