Pearl Hupp

July 7, 1905 — January 14, 2003

Longtime member of Lone Pine Christian Church Pearl I. Hupp, 97, of Amity, died at 1:55 a.m. Tuesday, January 14, 2003, in Presbyterian Medical Center, Washington, following a brief illness. She was born October 4, 1905, in Bakers Station, a daughter of Elmer and Olive Fordyce Hatfield. Mrs. Hupp was a homemaker. She was a member of Lone Pine Christian Church for 66 years and Lone Pine Grange. On May 2, 1928, she married M.M. Hupp, who died in 1974. Surviving are two sons, Paul Eugene Hupp of Greenbriar, Tenn., and Miles Hupp of Amity; two daughters, Peggy Kiskadden of Warren, Ohio, and Audrey Rogers of Huntsville, Ala.; 14 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild. Deceased are a daughter, Yvonne Hupp; two brothers, Allie and Ray Hatfield; a sister, Bernice Thompson; two grandchildren, Edwin Dale Rogers and an infant grandson. HUPP - Friends of Pearl I. Hupp of Amity, who died Tuesday, January 14, 2003, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday in William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 395 East Maiden Street, Washington, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, January 17, with the Rev. James L. Kent officiating. Interment will follow in Horn Cemetery, Marianna. Memorial contributions may be made to Lone Pine Christian Church.
