Former nursing assistant for Washington Hospital
Nora Jane Gough, 74, of Washington, died Tuesday, June 4, 2002, in Mercy Hospital, Pittsburgh, following a three-month illness.
She was born May 18, 1928, in Tiffin, Ohio, a daughter of John and Nora Sloan King.
Mrs. Gough was a graduate of Washington High School and a member of Jefferson Avenue United Methodist Church in Washington.
She was employed by Washington Hospital as a nursing assistant.
On May 24, 1947, she married John Elmer "Pap" Gough, who died September 16, 1995.
Surviving are a son, John Robert Gough of Washington; two daughters, Nancy Skully of Brooklyn Heights, Ohio, and Becky Fetcko of Washington; two brothers, Robert D. King of Germantown, Tenn., and Wilbert Briney of Tiffin, Ohio; a stepbrother, Donald Runion of Tampa, Fla.; a stepsister, Iona Bailey of Phoenix, Ariz.; and six grandchildren, Jonathan and Shawn Gough, Frank and Matthew Fetcko and Kimberly and Jessica Skully.
GOUGH - At the request of the deceased, Nora Jane Gough of Washington, who died Tuesday, June 4, 2002, there will be no public visitation. A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 8, in Jefferson Avenue United Methodist Church, Washington, with the Rev. John Hoffman officiating. Interment will follow in Washington Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to American Diabetes Association. Arrangements are under the direction of William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington.
