Patti Palmer Woods

Retired from Snyder's Answering Service Patti Palmer Woods, 84, of Washington, died Tuesday, October 8, 2002, in Donnell House, Washington, following a brief illness. She was born July 9, 1918, in Philadelphia, a daughter of Laurence Pace and Maud Hogsett Palmer. Before retiring, Mrs. Woods worked for more than 20 years as an operator for Snyder's Answering Service. She was a graduate of Upper Darby High School in Philadelphia. Mrs. Woods was formerly a Cub Scout den mother and was a member of a local card clubs for many years. On July 15, 1937, she married Samuel William Woods, who died in October 1979. Surviving are five sons, William, David and Richard Woods, all of Washington, Anthony Woods of Pittsburgh and Charles Woods of Albuquerque, N.M.; two daughters, Penelope Elliott of Washington and Vicki Schroeder of Albuquerque; 10 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Deceased is a son, Laurence Woods. WOODS - Friends of Patti Palmer Woods of Washington, who died Tuesday, October 8, 2002, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday in William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, October 10, with the Rev. Clarence Crosscutt officiating. Interment will follow in Washington Cemetery. The family requests donations to Donnell Hospice House, Leet Street, Washington, PA 15301.
