Dorothy Anthony

Member of First Christian Church in Washington Dorothy Anthony, 73, of Washington, died Tuesday, October 8, 2002, in Washington Hospital. She was born January 23, 1929, in Washington, a daughter of John and Rosetta Green Lowers. Mrs. Anthony was a 1947 graduate of Washington High School. She was a member of First Christian Church in Washington. On June 14, 1970, she married Walter M. Anthony, who died July 2, 2001. Surviving are a son, Samuel D. Valperga of Washington; three daughters, Judith Panion and Toni Hewitt, both of Washington, and Linda Sue Blackburn of Bedford; a sister, Lois Ward of Washington; and 10 grandchildren, Misty Rae and Jacob Welch, Crystal and Scott Valperga, Joshua, Barry Jr. and Macie Hewitt, Molly, Eli and Andy Blackburn. Deceased are three brothers, Mervin and Arnold Dempsey and Bobby Lowers; and a sister, Arnetta Mae Lowers. ANTHONY - Friends of Dorothy Anthony of Washington, who died Tuesday, October 8, 2002, will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday in William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington. Services will be private and held at the convenience of the family. .
