Elks member enjoyed golf, time with family.
Donald L. Keener, Sr., 77, of Washington, died Tuesday, April 15, 2008, in Washington Hospital, following a very brief illness.
He was born November 11, 1930, in Washington, a son of Warren R. and Evelyn Main Keener.
Mr. Keener was a 1948 graduate of Washington High School and a graduate of Penn Commercial.
He was an accountant with Patch Dodge as well as various automobile dealerships throughout the area.
Mr. Keener was a member of Washington Elks.
He enjoyed golf and especially enjoyed spending time with his family and grandchildren.
On October 15, 1951, he married Gale Conn, who survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Donald L. (Michelle) Keener Jr. of Claysville and Timothy W. Keener of Washington; a brother, Raymond Keener of Florida; four grandchildren, Kina R., Korey R. and Timothy W. Jr. Keener and Kressa A. (Butch) Dunn, all of Washington; two great-grandchildren, Taylor M. and Ethan L. Dunn of Washington; two nephews, Raymond and Richard; and a niece, Jan, all of Florida.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday in William G. Neal Funeral Homes Inc., 395 East Maiden Street, Washington, where private services and interment will be held Friday, April 18.
