Member of Avery United Methodist Church Evelyn Margaret (Sally) O'Brien, 67, of Washington, died at 10 a.m. Tuesday, September 24, 2002, in Washington Hospital, following a one-week illness. She was born May 21, 1935, in Washington, a daughter of the late Arthur R. and Evelyn Morris Johnson. Mrs. O'Brien was a member of Avery United Methodist Church in Washington and was a 1953 graduate of Washington High School. She was a homemaker and for a period of ten years worked for Giant Eagle in Washington. On November 10, 1953, she married Richard Keith O'Brien, who died August 30, 1996. Surviving are a son, Richard Keith O'Brien Jr. of Washington; four daughters, Karen Grzeczka of Washington, Kathleen O'Brien of Orlando, Fla., Barbara Johnson of Cocoa, Fla., and Marjorie O'Brien of Uniontown; a brother, Arthur Dale Johnson of Tucson, Ariz.; two sisters, Marjorie Hulton of New Smyrna Beach, Fla., and Barbara Johnson of Apollo; seven grandchildren, Michael Mace, Jason Grzeczka, Conner, Kelsie and Zachary O'Brien, Brendan and Jayla Johnson and Michaela and Michan Mace. Deceased is a son, David Paul O'Brien. O'BRIEN - Friends of Evelyn Margaret (Sally) O'Brien of Washington, who died Tuesday, September 24, 2002, will be received from 1 to 9 p.m. Thursday and 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., the hour of service, Friday, September 27, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, with the Rev. Dr. Daniel A. Stinson officiating. Interment will follow in Washington Cemetery. The family suggests flowers be omitted. Memorial contributions may be made to Avery United Methodist Church, 1100 Gabby Avenue, Washington, PA 15301.
