75-year member of IC Church, Washington
Barbara B. Gasper, 96, of Washington, died Monday, September 30, 2002, in her home. She had been in declining health the past year.
She was born November 29, 1905, in Bentleyville, a daughter of Peter and Mary Nemeth Gallas.
Mrs. Gasper was a member of Immaculate Conception Church in Washington for 75 years.
For more than 40 years, she and her husband owned and operated a grocery store on the corner of Fourth Street and Jefferson Avenue in Washington.
On August 5, 1925, in Immaculate Conception Church, she married John Gasper, who died February 21, 1968.
Surviving are a daughter, Gloria Ozarowski of Washington; a brother, Richard Gallas of Ashland, Ohio; a grandson, Steven Ozarowski; a nephew, William Kotyk; and a niece, Susan Robinson.
Deceased are two sisters, Adeline Owens and Mildred Kotyk.
GASPER - At the request of the deceased, Barbara B. Gasper of Washington, who died Monday, September 30, 2002, there will be no public visitation. Services will be held at the convenience of the family, followed by interment in Immaculate Conception Church Cemetery, Washington. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to John F. Kennedy School Scholarship Fund. Arrangements are by William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington.
