Phyllis H. Burns, 67, of Washington, died at 7:48 a.m. Monday, September 30, 2002, in Washington Hospital.
She was born March 20, 1935, in Washington, a daughter of Charles O. and Pearl White Houston.
Mrs. Burns was a 1953 graduate of Trinity High School and a homemaker.
She was a member of Laboratory Presbyterian Church, where she served as secretary for several years.
Mrs. Burns enjoyed the Pittsburgh Steelers, her grandchildren, reading and flowers.
She was a member of the Arms Club.
On July 2, 1957, she married Robert L. Burns, who survives.
Also surviving are three sons, Robert C., Loland L. and Stephen A. Burns, all of Washington; a daughter, Nanciann Eneix of Washington; three brothers, Charles O. Houston Jr. of Landenburg and Richard and Donald Houston, both of Washington; a sister, Barbara Murray of Freemont, Calif.; four grandchildren, Nicole, Robert R., Abby and Emily Burns; two stepgrandchildren, Loren and Jason Eneix; and several nieces and nephews.
BURNS - Friends of Phyllis H. Burns of Washington, who died Monday, September 30, 2002, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 395 East Maiden Street, Washington, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, October 2, with the Rev. David Stammerjohn officiating. Interment will follow in Washington Cemetery. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Multiple Sclerosis Society.
