Anna Tinkey Brownlee, 86, of Washington, died Saturday, April 21, 2007, in the Washington Hospital following six-month illness.
She was born December 20, 1920, in Middlecreek, Somerset County, a daughter of George W. and Julia Viola Peterman Tinkey.
Mrs. Brownlee worked as an inspector at Brockway Glass for 34 years. She loved animals. Two of her favorite charities were Washington Area Humane Societ and St. Labre, a school for Native Amereican children.
On November 4, 1956, she married Willard David Brownlee, who died April 29, 1994.
Surviving are a stepson, Willard David Brownlee, II, of Braunfels, Texas; a stepdaughter, Carol (Ernest) Stoutamire of St. Petersburg, Florida; three step grandchildren; and two step great-grandchildren.
Deceased are two sisters, Evelyn Clark and Edna Moore; and two brothers, Charles William Tinkey and Jess Tinkey.
At the request of the deceased, there will be no public viewing or services. Entombment in Washington Cemetery will be private and at the convenience of the family.
