Genevieve May King

February 27, 1916 — April 20, 2007

Genevieve May King, 91, of Washington, died at 4:50 a.m., Friday, April 20, 2007, at Southmont of Presbyterian Senior Care, Washington. She had been in declining health for several years. She was born February 27, 1916, in Washington, a daughter of Richard Zollar and Leona Mae Martin McClain. A graduate of Washington High School, Mrs. King worked at Hazel Atlas #1 and Brockway, for twenty-eight years, as a packer in the Quality Control Department. In 1955, she married John Edward King, who died in 1962. Surviving are two daughters, Marie (Richard) Kelley, of Washington, and Jane Swan, of Tampa, FL.; ten grandchildren, Richard and Dennis Kelley, Charles and Shane Swan, Linda Evans, Amy Crispin, Sherry Morris, Edward, Anna and Jennifer Podish, eighteen great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild. Deceased are a daughter, Mary Lou Podish, two sisters, Marjorie Logsdon and Dorothy Sargent, a brother, R.L. Lee McClain; and a great grandchild, Helen A. Swan. Friends will be received 7 to 9 p.m., Sunday, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, April 23, 2007. Interment will follow in Washington Cemetery.
