Washington Mould employee was WWII vet Paul M. Mason, 77, of Washington, died at 9:15 p.m. Thursday, September 12, 2002, in Washington County Health Center, Washington. He was born January 16, 1925, in Bellaire, Ohio, a son of Ralph and Marie Wagoner Mason. Mr. Mason was a member of Franklin Farms Church of Christ in Washington. During World War II, he served in the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Sheridan in the South Pacific. Mr. Mason was employed at Washington Mould, Machine and Foundry for 40 years as a pattern maker and casting estimator. On August 5, 1946, he married Virginia June Oldfield, who survives. Also surviving are three daughters, Paulette Graham and Jessica Provinzano, both of Washington, and Marie Morgan of Houston, Texas; a son, Mark Mason of Washington; two sisters, Jean Baumberger of St. Clairsville, Ohio, and Anna Mary Morrissey of Cape Coral, Fla.; a brother, Joseph Mason of St. Clairsville; six grandchildren, Christopher Graham, Rachel, Nicole and Michelle Provinzano, Shannon and Brandon Mason; and several nieces and nephews. A brother, Ralph Mason, is deceased. MASON - Friends of Paul M. Mason of Washington, who died Thursday, September 12, 2002, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday in William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, September 16, with Steven A. Lukas officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Gardens, McMurray. Military rites will be accorded by Edwin Scott Linton American Legion Post 175.
