Former schoolteacher Dorothy Jane Lang, 72, of Washington, died at 6:21 a.m. Wednesday, November 27, 2002, in Washington Hospital, following a brief illness. She was born April 1, 1930, in Washington, a daughter of Dr. Lloyd and Mary Allison Mahaffey. Mrs. Lang was Baptist and a graduate of Trinity High School and California University of Pennsylvania. She was a schoolteacher in Indian Head, near Uniontown. In 1963, she married Charles Henry Lang, who died December 24, 1988. Surviving are two children, the Rev. William Lang and Mary McCave, both of Washington; a brother, Harold A. Mahaffey of Yukon, Canada; and three grandchildren, Shannon Lang and Charles and Veronica McCave. LANG - Friends of Dorothy Jane Lang of Washington, who died Wednesday, November 27, 2002, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., the hour of services, Saturday, November 30, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, with the Rev. Lesley I. Shoup officiating.
