Marjorie B. Peel Rush, 86, formerly of Washington, died on Wednesday, August 11, 2004, in the Bishop J. Hodgess Continuous Care Center, Wheeling, following a lengthy illness. She was born in Washington on July 25, 1918, a daughter of Elias and Dorothy White Peel. She had been a lifelong resident of Washington prior to her illness, having graduated from Washington High School in 1936. She was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church.
On July 24, 1946, she married Harold Clinton Rush who died on February 4, 2000.
Surviving are a son Clinton D. Rush of Washington; a daughter Penny Matheny of Wheeling; a brother Thurman Peel of Washington; four grandchildren, Carlo Krenzelak, Jr., Christopher, Michael, and Clinton Rush; and two great-grandchildren, Trevor and Justin Krenzelak.
She is preceded in death by a grandchild Jamie Krenzelak; two brothers, James and Lester Peel; and two sisters, Marion Long and Dorothy Ripley.
Friends of Marjorie B. Peel Rush, 86, formerly of Washington, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm Friday in the William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, where services will be held on Saturday, August 14, 2004, at 1:00 pm. Interment will follow in the Washington Cemetery.
