Shirley J. Bryan, 69 of Washington died 1:30 AM Wednesday in her home following a lengthy illness. She was born on July 1, 1933 in Oil City the daughter of Frank and Flora Downing Bickel. She attended Covenant Life Fellowship Church. Mrs. Bryan was a self employed Carpenter.
On July 15, 1951 she married James Edward Bryan who survives. Also surviving are two sons, James R. Bryan of Palmer, Alaska and John F. Bryan of Fredricktown; three daughters, Brenda Baum of Washington, Dianna Black and Debra Stanish , both of Oil City; two brothers, Donald and Frank Bickel of Oil City; a sister Jean Benton of Oil City; 15 Grandchildren and 5 Great Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother Fred Bickel and a Grandchild, Christopher Bryan.
Visitation will be held on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM and on Friday from 9:30-11:00 AM the time of service in the William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, PA. Pastor Craig Bellis officiating. An additional brief visitation will be held on Saturday, December 14 in the chapel at 1:30 PM at Grove Hill Cemetery, Oil City prior to burial.
