Genevera Joan Huffman

Member of Meadow Land Methodist Church Genevera Joan Huffman, 79, of Washington, died at 4 p.m. Wednesday, June 23, 2004, in her home. She was born August 23, 1924, in Jackson, a daughter of Andrew Jackson and Mary Elizabeth Scott Gillogly. Mrs. Huffman was a member of Meadow Lands Methodist Church and Good Neighbors Club. On June 11, 1943, she married Charles "Cutie" Franklin Huffman, who died January 19, 2002. Surviving are two sons, Charlie Ed Huffman of Cadillac, Mich., and David J. Huffman of Avella; a daughter, Mary Beth Groves of Houston; two brothers, Jack Gillogly of Holbrook and William Gillogly of Aliquippa; a sister, Jeanette Staggers of Waynesburg; seven grandchildren, Christine Nolla, Heather Habovick, Leta Dobrzynski, Lori Huffman, D.J. Huffman, Becky Gomez and Matt Huffman; and 10 great-grandchildren. Deceased, in addition to her husband, is a sister, Hope Gump. HUFFMAN - Friends of Genevera Joan Huffman of Washington, who died Wednesday, June 23, 2004, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday in William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Ave, Washington, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 26, with the Rev. John T. Shaver officiating. Interment will be in Rosemont Cemetery, Rogersville.
