Madge Kelly Long

Madge Kelly Long, 84, formerly of Washington, died Sunday, June 12, 2004, in Fairhaven, MA, following a lengthy illness. She was born on October 18, 1919, in Washington, a daughter of Clifford and Gertrude Walters Kelly. Mrs. Long had actively worked on the Washington Election Board and was employed in the 1970’s at Harts Home Store. She also was a member of the First Christian Church of Washington and enjoyed crafts and shopping . She was married to Jack Long who is deceased. Surviving is a daughter Rebecca Long Wheeler of Fairhaven, MA; two grandchildren, Kelly Hahn and Aaron Bromage; two step-grandchildren, Jocelyn and Zachary Wheeler; and four great-grandchildren. Mrs. Long is preceded in death by a son Mark Christopher Long and a daughter Beth Long Geshay. Private graveside services will be held at the convenience of the family in Washington Cemetery. The family requests memorial donations to the Alzheimer’s Association or the charity of donor’s choice. Arrangements are under the direction of William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington.
