Thomas G. Sager, 57, of Washington, died unexpectedly Wednesday, October 30, 2002, in Washington Hospital.
He was born November 8, 1944, in Somerset County, a son of Anna Bittner Sager Platek of Pittsburgh and the late Fred Thomas Sager.
Mr. Sager worked as a fabricator at Fibercast Products for 15 years and was an independent truck driver.
He was Protestant and had served in the U.S. Army.
Mr. Sager enjoyed mechanical work, truck restoration and horseback riding.
On October 18, 1968, he married Cheryl Wigner, who survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Kenneth Hilderbrand of Washington and Timothy Hilderbrand of Waynesburg; two daughters, Kelli Strauss of Marianna and Tammie Sager Pliska of Prosperity; a sister, Virginia Knaus of Bridgeville; 10 grandchildren, Amanda, Sandra, Josie and Tommy Strauss, Courtney Sager, Autumn Pliska, Kyle and Kelsy Hilderbrand, Susan Ault and Stephanie Swan; and three great-grandchildren.
A sister, Sandra Nagel, is deceased.
SAGER - Friends of Thomas G. Sager of Washington, who died Wednesday, October 30, 2002, will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday in William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., where services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, November 2, with the Rev. Harold McClelland officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Gardens, McMurray.
