McGraw-Edison tool and die operator
Clarence McCoy Weaver, 76, of Washington, died Wednesday, October 23, 2002, in Washington Hospital following a brief illness.
He was born July 25, 1926, in Washington, a son of LeRoy Hopkins and Ida Ellen McCoy Weaver.
Mr. Weaver was a 1944 graduate of Trinity High School.
He was a 60-year member of Laboratory Presbyterian Church, where he served as an elder, deacon, trustee and member of the men's chorus.
Mr. Weaver was a former scoutmaster of Boy Scout Troop 32.
Until retiring in 1982, he was a tool and die operator at McGraw-Edison in Canonsburg.
Mr. Weaver was a veteran of World War II, having served in the U.S Army, where he received the European African Middle Eastern Campaign Medal, Good Conduct Medal, Army Occupation Medal and World War II Victory Medal.
On June 6, 1947, he married Betty Jane Parry, who survives.
Also surviving are a son, the Rev. Dr. William C. Weaver of Linden, N.J.; a daughter, Colleen Dille of Prosperity; four grandchildren, Tara Lea and Tammy Lynn Dille, Janelle Lynn and Patrick James Weaver; and two great-grandchildren.
Deceased is a sister who died in infancy.
WEAVER - Friends of Clarence McCoy Weaver of Washington, who died Wednesday, October 23, 2002, will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday and noon to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday in William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 395 East Maiden Street, Washington and 10 to 11 a.m., the hour of service, Monday, October 28, in Laboratory Presbyterian Church, 33 Manse Street, Washington, with the Rev. David A. Stammerjohn officiating. Interment will follow in Washington Cemetery. The family requests donations to Laboratory Presbyterian Church Memorial Fund. Full military honors will be accorded graveside by Edwin Scott Linton American Legion Post 175 of Washington.
