Edith I. Reese

50-year member of Fairhill Manor Presbyterian Church Edith I. Reese, 99, of Washington, died Friday, October 18, 2002, in Presbyterian Medical Center, Washington. She was born March 21, 1903, in Wendell, W.Va., a daughter of Dwight Harold and Otta Mae Henline Haddox. Mrs. Reese was a homemaker and 50-year member of Fairhill Manor Presbyterian Church in Washington. On February 1, 1920, she married Bidwell Reese, who died May 3, 1969. Surviving are a niece whom she raised, Terry Herschell; three sisters, Vesta Newland of Washington, Julia Phelps of Davidson, Mich., and Mildred Bailey of Pontiac, Mich. Deceased are a son, Richard Dean Reese; a sister, Lula Mae Fox; and a brother, Hubert H. Haddox. REESE - Friends of Edith I. Reese of Washington, who died Friday, October 18, 2002, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday in William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, October 22, with the Rev. David Mansfield officiating. Interment will follow in Washington Cemetery.
