Owned Krause's Antiques
Gail I. Krause, 77, of Washington, died at 4:20 a.m. Friday, December 6, 2002, in her home following a two-month illness.
She was born August 11, 1925, in Washington, a daughter of Harry B. and Ada Gail Fender Butcher.
Mrs. Krause attended Trinity High School and was a member of Church of the Covenant
She owned and operated Krause's for more than 30 years, first as a store in Tylerdale and later as Krause's Antique Store in Washington.
Mrs. Krause was formerly employed by S.A. Meyer Co., had authored several books about Duncan glassware and lectured on glassware and Duncan.
On July 17, 1945, she married John Davis Krause, who died March 15, 2002.
Surviving are a son, John D. Krause II of Seattle, Wash.; a sister, Doloris Palfreyman of Washington; and a granddaughter, Emma Siobhan Krause.
Deceased are a sister, Nel Herron; and a brother, Merle Butcher.
KRAUSE - Friends of Gail I. Krause of Washington, who died Friday, December 6, 2002, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday and Sunday in William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, December 9, with the Rev. Thomas Hamilton officiating. Interment will follow in Washington Cemetery.
