John A. McDonald, 63, of Muse, died Monday, July 19, 2004, in his home following a lengthy illness. He was born in Washington County on September 26, 1940, a son of the late George and Margaret Orum McDonald. Mr. McDonald was retired, having worked as a Construction Truck Driver most recently for Golden Triangle and previously for 35 years at Ben Construction. He was a member of the Muse Italian Club, the Westland Sportsman’s Club, and the National Pike Gas-Horse-and Steam Association. He was a member of the Muse Presbyterian Church.
On July 6, 1996, he married Christy Weaver who survives. Also surviving are three sons, John A. McDonald, Jr., of Sebring, Ohio, John “ Butch “ Cumpston of Muse, and Ronald McDonald of Sebring, Ohio; five brothers, George, Wilbert, and Albert McDonald, all of Muse, Walt McDonald of Canonsburg, and Kenny McDonald of Washington; five sisters, Margaret Peterman of C, Clara Bushko of Muse, Laura Andreolli of Washington, Dorothy Workman and Daisy Nocki, both of Canonsburg; seven grandchildren, John McDonald III, Stephanie and David McDonald, Becky, Butchie, Tommy, and Brian Cumpston; two step-grandchildren; and one great-grandson.
Friends of John A. McDonald, 63, of Muse, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm Tuesday in the William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington. Services will be held on Wednesday, July 21, 2004 at 1:00 pm in the Muse Presbyterian Church, Pastor Linda Mankey officiating. The family requests memorial donations be made to the Muse Presbyterian Church, Box 365, Muse, PA 15350.
