Hugh Alvin Brown, 77, of Washington, died at 6:20 a.m. Sunday, April 15, 2007, in his home following a four-month illness. He was born August 15, 1929, in Cedar Point, Wisconsin, a son of Alvin and Juanita Grover Brown. Mr. Brown served in the Army. He was honorably discharged September 24, 1954, with a rank of Sergeant, First Class. Mr. Brown worked as a security guard for Tarbuck Security. He was Catholic by faith and enjoyed going to flea markets, watching television and playing cards. Surviving is a sister, Bertha Richard Gatts of Washington. Deceased is a brother, Fred Fritz Brown.
Friends will be received 9 to 11 a.m., the hour of service, on Tuesday, April 24, 2007, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, with Father John O'Shea officiating. Burial will follow in National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Bridgeville. Miliatry rites will be accorded graveside by Edwin Scott Linton Post 175 of the American Legion.
