Salvation Army Church member
Nancy Mae McFall, 58, of Washington, died at 4:30 p.m. Monday, April 16, 2007, in her home. She had been ill since September.
She was born March 27, 1949, in Washington, a daughter of the late Clarence M. and Margaret A. McCartney Smith.
Mrs. McFall attended Trinity High School and worked as a waitress at the Elks for seven years. She was a member of Salvation Army Church. She enjoyed solving puzzles, playing bingo, cards, board games and especially enjoyed time spent with her grandchildren.
On June 4, 1969, she married William McFall Jr., who survives.
Also surviving are two sons, John Michael McFall and Gary Edward McFall; a daughter, Michelle (Michael) Piatt, all of Washington; three brothers, David E. Smith of Washington, Clarence Smith Jr. of McMurray and Gary L. Smith of Washington; two sisters, Rebecca Littel of Washington and Florence Platt of Munhall; two grandchildren, Courtney and Tiffany Piatt; and several nieces and nephews, including two nephews whom she raised, Timothy and Michael Gardner, both of Washington.
Deceased is a sister, Shirley Jean Gardner.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday in William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, April 20, with the Reverend Doctor Bruce E. Bryce officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Gardens, McMurray.
