Bette Jane Mccool

Bette J. McCool, 86 of Washington, died Tuesday, January 28, 2003 in Washington Hospital following a brief illness. Mrs. McCool was born on February 17,1916 in Mt. Pleasant Township the daughter of John E. and Mary Ann Cook Brown. She was a 1934 graduate of Hickory High School and had attended Waynesburg College. Mrs. McCool was a member of the Washington Current Events Club, the Washington Garden Club and Faith United Presbyterian Church. She enjoyed gardening and flowers. She had worked for many years as an executive secretary at Drakenfeld Colors. On September 25, 1941 she married William A. McCool who survives. She is preceded in death by five brothers; John C., William A., Robert M., David E., and Richard W. Brown as well as two sisters; Mary Hoop and Isabel Amreihn. At the request of the deceased, no public visitation will be held. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 30, 2003 at the serenity Chapel Mausoleum in Washington Cemetery at 2:00 PM, entombment will follow. Pastor Gary Gibson Officiating.
