Justin A. Curran, 82, of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, formerly of Washington, died Saturday, January 18, 2003 in Grand Strand Regional Medical Center.
He was born in Washington on February 15, 1920, the son of John and Ethel Aber Curran.
Mr. Curran retired from the Bureau of Employment Security in Washington. He had attended Duquesne University and Carnegie Institute of Technology. Mr. Curran served with the 1st Infantry Division in the European Theater, participating in the Rhineland and Central European Campaigns, receiving the Purple Heart. Mr. Curran was Catholic, a member of the American Legion, and was a musician.
Surviving are his wife, Esther J. Curran, two daughters; Debra Eisert of Lancaster, Ohio and Patricia Ann McDaid of Myrtrle Beach, South Carolina; two brothers, Cornelius Curran of Hickory and John Curran of Canonsburg, six Grandchildren and five Great-Grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two sons, John Jeffrey Curran and Edward Loomis Curran.
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 24, 2003 from 7-9 PM in our 925 Allison Avenue location. private services will be held with interment in Immaculate Conception Cemetery.
