Claysville farmer owned body shop
Earl B. Peterson, 81, of Claysville, died Thursday, January 30, 2003, in Humbert Lane Health Care Center, Washington.
He was born December 11, 1921, in Washington, a son of Charles A. and Mary Bjorline Peterson.
Mr. Peterson was owner-operator of Peterson's Body Shop for more than 40 years, and was a self-employed cattle farmer.
He was a graduate of East Washington High School, and attended Carnegie Mellon University and Washington & Jefferson College.
Mr. Peterson was a World War II veteran and a member of Claysville American Legion.
He was a member of Washington Cattlemen's Association and Pennsylvania Cattlemen's Association.
On June 16, 1955, he married Ruth Carson, who survives.
Also surviving are a daughter, Martha Suzan Milvet of Claysville; and three grandchildren, Elissa, Michelle and John W. Milvet.
Deceased are four sisters, Mildred Peterson, Evelyn Wilhelm, Dorothy Cochran and Estelle Lewis; and a brother, Charles Peterson.
PETERSON - Friends of Earl B. Peterson of Claysville, who died Thursday, January 30, 2003, will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday in William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, February 3, with Pastor Gary Gibson officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Gardens, McMurray.
