Connecticut woman born in Washington
Mary Roberta Jane Henry, 50, of Danielson, Conn., died at 7:45 p.m. Saturday, January 4, 2003, in Douglas Manor Nursing Home in Windham, Conn., following a 22-month bout with cancer.
She was born November 22, 1952, in Washington, a daughter of Ada Louise Gardner Collum of East Killingly, Conn., and the late Robert Reynolds Henry.
Mrs. Henry was a 1971 graduate of Killingly High School and was employed by Loos and Co. in Connecticut.
She was a member of Union Baptist Church of East Killingly.
Mrs. Henry was an active member of the Ladies Auxiliary of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 4908 in East Killingly and enjoyed crafting, traveling and spending time with her family.
Her companion was Dennis Courtemanche of East Killingly.
Surviving, in addition to her mother, are a daughter, Mary Jane Lamphere of South Killingly, Conn.; two sisters, Linda Robillard of East Killingly and Bobby Jo Henry of Louisville, Ky.; stepmother, Barbara Henry of Louisville; stepfather, Alvin Collum of East Killingly; two grandchildren, Kaci and Adam Cacciapuoti; two stepbrothers; three stepsisters; and several nieces and nephews.
An aunt is deceased.
