Scenery Hill homemaker
Anna Elizabeth Sheppard, 75, of Scenery Hill, formerly of Canonsburg, died at 7:25 p.m. Sunday, January 5, 2003, in Canonsburg Hospital, following a two-year illness.
She was born March 3, 1927, in Washington, a daughter of Silas William and Erma Mae Glover Simms.
She was a homemaker, who enjoyed bingo and music.
In 1942, she married Donald David Sheppard, who died September 8, 1968.
Surviving are four sons, Donald D. Sheppard of Dallas, Ore., John B. Sheppard of Lincoln, Neb., Rodney T. Sheppard of Bentleyville and Randall V. Sheppard of Washington; four daughters, Carol A. Wood of Dallas, Ore., Sherry L. Moore and Anna C. Steede, both of Canonsburg, and Janice L. Steede of Scenery Hill; two brothers, William Alexander Simms and Lester Allen Simms, both of Washington; three sisters, Hazel M. Chapman, Clara Edith Mullins and Marlene Dale Marshall, all of Washington; 22 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren.
Deceased are a son, Charles Leonard Sheppard; a daughter, Sandra Salisbury; and two brothers, Jerry Leonard and Clinton Earl Simms.
SHEPPARD - Friends of Anna Elizabeth Sheppard of Scenery Hill, formerly of Canonsburg, who died Sunday, January 5, 2003, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, January 8, with Elder William K. Foflygen officiating. Interment will follow in North Buffalo Church Cemetery.
