Mary Jane Marasco

Member of Friendship Community Church Mary Jane Marasco, 75, of Mifflintown, formerly of Washington, died at 6:45 a.m. Monday, January 6, 2003, at the home of her nephew, Samuel Marasco, following a lengthy illness. She was born July 13, 1927, in Washington, a daughter of Saverio and Catherine Audia Marasco. Miss Marasco was a member of Friendship Community Church in Washington. She was a graduate of D.T. Watson Home and School in Leetsdale, where she received a bachelor's degree in English literature. Surviving are six nephews, Dr. Samuel Morosco of Astabula, Ohio, James Morosco of Port Huron, Mich., Bruce Morosco of Eighty Four, Samuel Marasco of Mifflintown, with whom she had resided the past year and a half, Joseph Marasco of Kingston, Tenn., and Timothy Marasco of Bloomsburg; and several great-nieces and great-nephews. Deceased are three brothers, James and Samuel Morosco and Joseph Marasco. MARASCO - Friends of Mary Jane Marasco of Mifflintown, formerly of Washington, who died Monday, January 6, 2003, will be received from 4 to 9 p.m. Friday in William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, January 11, with the Rev. Floyd Marasco officiating. Interment will follow in Washington Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to Friendship Community Church or Hospice Bridge, Lewistown, PA 17044.
