James Edward Miller, 63, of Washington, died at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, January 29, 2003, in his residence following an 11-month illness.
He was born December 12, 1939, in Canonsburg, a son of Alonzo LeRoy and Leah L. Crawford Miller.
Mr. Miller worked as an auto mechanic for various dealerships in the area.
He was a member of Living Waters Church of God in Washington.
On October 24, 1987, he married Barbara Jean McCormick, who survives.
Also surviving are five sons, Paul and James Miller, both of Florida, Mark McNeal of Utah, Emerson McCormick of Eighty Four and James McCormick of Claysville; two daughters, Theresa Miller of Texas and Barbara Clark of Washington; three brothers, LeRoy Miller Jr. of Wheeling, W.Va., and Harry and Charles Miller, both of Washington; three sisters, Martha Jean Ross of Topeka, Kan., Edna Mae Epperly of Oil City and Jennie L. Hale of Painesville, Ohio; 11 grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Deceased are a son, Matthew Glassman; and a brother, Carl H. Miller.
MILLER - Friends of James Edward Miller of Washington, who died Wednesday, January 29, 2003, will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday in William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, February 1, with the Rev. Jonathan Burns officiating. Interment will follow in Bethlehem Lutheran Church Cemetery, Glyde.
